It might be because we're playing Shadowrun, but this makes me laugh uncontrollably every time I see it...

Usually, my friends and I try to catch at least one SF giants game, one 49er's game, and one Sharks game per year. Normally, I listen to them on the radio (since I'm usually working), I've managed to catch a few Sharks games last season and a few Giants games this year (inc Tuesday). This weekend, I'm going to a San Jose Giants (minor league team) which is nice because the stadium has more of a "midwest softball league" feel to it. Now if the season wasn't almost over so I could take a date to a game...

No place holder pic today...I can't be arsed to grab the directions for the camp's secured wifi. Maybe in the morning. I have a campfire to attend to... ( I guess I can be arsed... )
current mood: relaxed

Greetings from White Salmon, WA! Mom and I drove up through Klamath Falls, Crater Lake, and the middle of nowhere (like half of Oregon and California are scrub). Placeholder photo below....yes, the water is really that blue.

12:42 am - Man down! Man down!

When Sacramento visited, we also went bowling (good God, has it been that long since my last time?), played Call of Duty, and played Rock Band. I love playing Rock Band, especially the drums because it's a great stress reliever when you're banging away on the faux drums. The only down side: after drinking, you tend to not notice a splinter in your finger from the drum sticks until the next day. I might just have to dig this sucker out with a needle and tweezers.

Sacramento is down from, well, Sacramento this weekend. How did we celebrate him coming down, Scud's engagement, and Masters' impending daughter (due on the 16th)? Sent hundreds of dollars down range. 2 boxes of 9 mil and 2 boxes of .40 came out to $89. We also had a .44 revolver, .45, .22 pistol, .22 rifle, 12ga shotgun, and what ever pistols POM brought. The paper target genocide is complete.

UFC 97...Silva vs Lietes. What a big fucking disappointment. There should be a rule: If the crowd starts to boo, then 2 bats or a tiger are immediately tossed into the ring.

7:37 pm - I am so amused
|
I love reading the local police blotter because it's a great source of entertainment and it can give me an idea of what's been going on near my accounts. ...Mostly for the entertainment... I present two incidents that both happened in Redwood City (between San Jose and San Francisco): Broadway and Mills Way, 8:35 p.m. Thursday Three men -- one with a gun pointed at the back of a person"s head -- demanded money. For their effort, they netted $2.
Kentfield Avenue, 4:40 p.m. Friday A resident said a neighbor keeps accusing him of stealing rocks from his yard. The previous night, he said the man was whistling "the worms go in, the worms go out" and was screaming "Thief! Thief!" With a little research, I discovered that the man was whistling The Hearse Song, a folklore ditty popularized by British soldiers during the Crimean War. The lyrics and the tune is here. Man, I wish I knew this song when I was in the Boy Scouts/Explorer Scouts. They would have loved it.

Dear Green Beer, I know we had a blast in the past few years, especially with Other Green Beer. I know I've been working at the office a lot and have neglected you and the kids (Martini and Random Drink Placed In Front Of Me). 2010 will be different, I promise.
